Daily journal that details your pet's day with each visit
A
note about electronic collars, correction, and containment:
I personally don't believe in using
aversion to train or contain a dog (or any animal). Encourage, don't
compel. Build trust. Encouragement sometimes is the long way home instead
of the shortcut, so to speak, but better for you and your pet.
For a myriad
of reasons (including seeing an electronic collar system malfunction and cause such
lasting discomfort and stress for a dog, not
once, but twice... and in different households), I don't agree with the use of
electronic correction and containment for dogs. There are too many safe,
viable alternatives that will enrich the relationship you have with your
dog including training with consistent reinforcement, traditional fencing,
and walking your dog on a leash.
It's just my viewpoint,
and it's based on my experiences and observations, so if you use NorthStar Pet Services
and have electronic containment, on
my watch, I'll use a collar and leash, and will leave the electronic
collar off your dog. If that's not something that works for you, you
don't want to use NorthStar Pet Services to care for your pet.
