NorthStar Pet Services Business Policies

This is the part where this easy-going, friendly

pet sitter has to momentarily become the firm,

but fair business owner.

So, Here's The Grown-Up Clause

Pride is a company of lions or a sense of one's own proper dignity or value; their self-respect.

I am a relationship builder and an optimist and fully expect my fabulous clients to be responsible grown-ups (because they are responsible pet owners) and that we each treat each other the way we would want to be treated.  But, I also have over 30 years business experience, so, while I don't expect checks to be returned NSF or consistent last minute cancellations for no good reason, good business relationships are built on structure up front!  So:

í NorthStar Pet Services is a business.  A for-profit business.

í You are most certainly encouraged to schedule your service reservation as soon as possible.  Two weeks (or sooner) notice is ideal, but, that's for new clients, vacations, and things you can plan. So, don't hesitate to contact NorthStar Pet Services anytime you need pet care -- NorthStar Pet will try to accommodate, or if I can't help, I'll "go to the bench" and recommend another pet sitter.

í Payment for first-time clients only may be required in advance.

í Prices subject to change with notice. (Why? Here's an example -- seen gas prices lately?!)

í Payment by invoice, in-full, via cash, check or debit or credit card (through PayPal), postmarked or transacted within 7 calendar days after services provided.  You'll come home to find a stamped, business reply envelope with your invoice, so timely payment won't be difficult.

í This is a For-Profit Business: Slow Payment or No Payment = Suspension of Services. No Exceptions.

í If service is suspended due to slow payment and/or non-payment, prepayment for services from that point forward is required.

í 48 hour notice required on cancellations, unless there is a really, really, really, really, really, really good reason (serious family concerns, pet health concerns, your health, weather, emergency)! Which means, as a rule, you cancel your reservation with 48 hours or less notice, you'll need to pay for the entire reservation.

í NorthStar Pet Services reserves the right to add a discretionary $10 per visit flexible schedule charge for habitual, "lame excuse," last minute visit additions.

í $25 fee on all returned checks.

Thank you in advance!  -- Linda
